Dear Young Business Owner: I've got an invitation for you

One of the greatest privileges I've had since this pandemic began was having the time and therefore the opportunity to truly understand who I am and what it is I want to do in my life.
If you followed me this far, you’ll know that I’ve tried out many things, many of which have either failed or just seemed to slowly dissipate. My life has felt like a difficult journey for years, as I've felt the overbearing need to just "pick something and stick with it" when that's literally the opposite of what every molecule in my body tells me to do.
Thanks to 2020 and way too much time on my hands to contemplate my life, I've come to finally see and understand how my multiple interests and many passions are my strength, and why embracing that fact is the best thing I could do for myself.
Mizzmedia Productions is only the beginning.
Within my lifetime I plan on having multiple businesses, multiple career paths, and do as many things as I possibly can, experimenting all the way. Failure has started to become FUN.
I sure as hell did not expect myself to ever say that—I've had a bad habit of taking things personally or struggling with perfectionism, which is really just another way to say that I was highly insecure about the work I was creating. Now, I am determined to fail as quickly as possible—I'm learning to be analytical (something that never came naturally to me) and critically understand my shortcomings without taking things personally.
If there's one thing I've been blessed to learn from my parents over the years, it's that there's absolutely nothing wrong with failing as long as you learned how not to fail that way again. Life is learning. Constant, never-ending learning, whether or not you like it.
It feels so difficult to embrace what it is you truly want to do because that shit is SCARY.
It requires you to trust yourself, which is no small feat. It requires you to persevere despite failures. It requires you to take that leap of faith and stay focused on what you want to achieve rather than what people might think of you.
I'm just starting to see the fruits of my labor—business is officially starting to pick up and oh man do I see the potential. I'm getting over my very first hurdle, and that was attracting clients. Now, I'm officially getting booked out months in advance and still get just as excited over every new client as I did with my very first one—it is crazy to me how far away this all seemed only months ago.
I feel like a kid getting to do what I do—I'm so freaking happy that I'm literally sitting here at my desk typing with this cheesy ass grin on my face.
I want to be as transparent as I can with you about my pursuits because I've gotten to meet so many amazing people doing what I'm doing and it's shown me that there are too many people out there scared to take that leap of faith in themselves. I want to support you the way you've been supporting me. So, if you managed to read through today's ramble, I just want to extend an invitation to you:
I’m building a community and I’m inviting you into it.
If you're just starting to build your business or you're interested in learning about the challenges that I'll be encountering and how to overcome them, you're invited to be a Pro. If you’re looking to be supported, uplifted, and even shown the hell off, please follow my work at Mizzmedia Productions! I would love to support other local business owners who are making a name for themselves and even provide tips and tricks to capturing great media for your brands!
My lifestyle and community are built on genuine support and I would love for you to be involved with it. Stay tuned for what I have up my sleeves and how you'll be able to access free media content that you can use for your own businesses and, as always, have a lovely rest of your day today and an even better day tomorrow!
